Design Concept

圖書館不從地景中拔起,而是順著地形的起伏沉入其中——讓建築成為大地的延續,而非與之對立的量體。屋頂與綠丘相連,人們在閱讀與停留之間,始終與金門的天光、海風與地貌為伴。 設計從這座島嶼汲取語彙:聚落的尺度、在地的質地、與光風共處的生活智慧,被轉譯為當代的空間秩序。它不只是藏書的場所,更是一座承載地方記憶與文化的容器。 Rather than rising against the land, the library settles into the contours of the terrain — architecture as a continuation of the ground, not a volume set in opposition to it. Roof and green hill become one, so that between reading and pausing, one remains in the company of Kinmen's light, sea wind and landform. The design draws its vocabulary from the island itself: the scale of its settlements, the texture of its place, the wisdom of living with light and wind — translated into a contemporary spatial order. More than a place to hold books, it is a vessel for local memory and culture.
